Trade-in your device

– Create your Trade-in order on our website by providing your device details and selecting a price quote as per the condition of your device

– Choose for an Instant Amazon.com.au Gift Card against your credit Card details (for any differences against the declared device details) or get your Gift Card after we evaluate your device

– Our courier partner will pick up your device from home and deliver it to our QC facility for evaluation.

– You will receive the identity verification email after your device pick -up. Complete your mandatory verification within 5 days to avoid auto cancellation of your trade-in order.

We acknowledge the importance of data privacy, so please remember to perform a factory reset before handing over the device.

Activation lock is intended to protect the smartphone so that the contents of the device are not manipulated by others when it is lost or stolen. If the activation lock is on, we will not be able to trade-in your device, so please unlock it as follows.

FOR PHONES:
iPhone: Go to “Settings > Apple ID > Search” and turn off “Find My iPhone”.

Android: Go to “Settings > Account” and tap “Delete account” for the displayed account.

*If multiple accounts have been registered, please “Delete account” for all of them.

FOR SMARTWATCHES:
Apple:
On the iPhone connect to the smartwatch, go to “Settings > Apple ID”, then select your device, and select “Remove from account”

Samsung:
“Settings > Account and Backup > Select account ID > Remove account” 

Huawei:
Go to Huawei health app, “Devices > Click on your device ID > Restore Factory Settings > Full Reset”

FOR TABLETS:
iPad:
Go to “Settings > Apple ID > Search” and turn off “Find My iPhone”.

Android:
Go to “Settings > Account” and tap “Delete account” for the displayed account.

To delete data and settings from your device and restore it to factory settings, follow the below process:

For iPhone: Go to “Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Erase All Content and Settings”.

For Android: Go to “Settings > System > Advanced Settings > Reset Options > Clear All Data (Factory Reset)”.

SMARTWATCHES:
Apple:
On the iPhone connect to the smartwatch, go to “Settings > Apple ID”, then select your device, and select “Remove from account”

Samsung:
“Settings > Account and Backup > Select account ID > Remove account”
 
Huawei:
Go to Huawei health app, “Devices > Click on your device ID > Restore Factory Settings > Full Reset”
 
TABLETS:
iPad:

We accept devices that atleast switch on. But we don’t accept devices that are counterfeit or jailbroken.

After creating your trade-in order, please unlock or deregister your device from cloud services (if applicable) before sending it in. Unlocking from cloud services and performing a factory reset is required for all iOS and Android device trade-ins.
(Devices that are not unlocked from cloud services and factory reset will not be eligible for Trade in and will be returned)

For mobile phones and tablets, we do not require any accessories. However, for smartwatches, the charger is mandatory.

There are three different grades that determine the condition of your phone or device: Flawless, Average, and Broken but working. These grades are based on the appearance and functionality of your device. It is important to accurately understand the condition and features of your phone or device to ensure a smooth and efficient process, as the condition of the device will affect the offered price.

Your devices are sold to dealers who repair them and sell them to customers, thus extending the life span of the device and promoting a sustainable and circular economy.

– Once you confirm your request to trade in your phone or other device, you will receive an email containing a detailed printable label and a unique 13-digit reference code.

– Our courier partner will visit within 24 hours for a convenient doorstep pick-up of your device.

– Pack your trade-in device using the provided label and have it ready for collection.

– After the courier collects your device and it reaches us, we will evaluate it and provide you with the final price.

– You will receive an email with the final trade-in offer and a detailed evaluation report. You can then choose to either accept or reject the offer.

– If you accept the price quote, you will receive your Amazon.au.com gift card. If you received a gift card when placing the trade-in request, any differential amount will be adjusted to your credit card, and the remaining balance will be released to the credit card.

– We accept devices that power on and are in working condition under three grades- “Flawless, Average and Broken but working”

– If you choose to reject the final price offer, your device will be returned and your trade-in order will be cancelled.

Please note below time validity for sending in your device:

You need to send your device to us within 7-10 days of submitting a Trade-in request. If your device is not picked up by our courier partner service within 7-10 days of submitting your Trade-in, the request will expire and you will no longer be eligible to receive Trade-in benefits from NorthLadder.

If you don’t send your device in time and you received an instant Amazon.com.au Gift Card when you made your Trade-in request, the amount of the Amazon.com.au Gift Card will be charged to your credit card.

– For instant Gift Card option, you will receive the Gift Card instantly against a credit card hold.

– In courier pick-up, trade-in device may take up to 2-4 business days to arrive before they are processed.

– Once your device is received and appraised, you’ll receive an e-mail notification within 2 business days informing you about the final trade-in value.

– Once you accept the trade-in value you will receive an Amazon Gift card instantly on your email.

– NorthLadder will ask for your credit card details only if you choose the Instant Gift Card option.

– Your credit card details will be secure with us until your device is evaluated.

– Your credit card will be charged only and only if there is a difference in the actual condition of your device upon evaluation vs what you declared while placing your Trade-in order with us.

– For instant Gift Card option, you will receive the Gift Card instantly against a credit card hold.

– – In courier pick-up, trade-in device may take up to 2-4 business days to arrive before they are processed.

– Once your device is received and appraised, you’ll receive an e-mail notification within 2 business days informing you about the final trade-in value.

– Once you accept the trade-in value you will receive an Amazon Gift card instantly on your email.

If we do not receive your identity verification within 5 days of sending the Veriff email, your trade-in order will be auto cancelled.

Please note that, as per the terms of the trade-in program, verifying your identity is a mandatory step to process your device evaluation.

Following your order cancellation incase you chose Instant Gift Card, the blocked amount on the credit card will be charged in lieu of the received Amazon gift card.

*Please note to have your device returned, a $15 fee will apply.

You can cancel your trade-in order before the courier picks up your device by sending a cancellation request to support.au@northladder.com.
However, if you selected the Instant Gift Card option, the amount will be charged to your credit card since the Amazon.com.au gift card is non-cancellable.

If we do not receive your confirmation on the revised offer within 7 days of sending the price deviation offer, we will assume that you accept the revised price. NorthLadder will retain possession of your device and proceed to completing the trade-in Order.
Please note that, as per the terms of the trade-in program, the order will no longer qualify for cancellation once the order is completed. 

Based on your chosen gift card option: 
For Instant Gift Cards: The block on the credit card will be released and only the difference in price will be charged to your registered credit card. 

For Deferred Gift Cards: The payout of the revised amount will be issued to you as the Amazon AU Gift card. 

No, once NorthLadder receives the device and has started processing your trade-in and the transaction is final, the trade-in device cannot be returned. However, if you do not agree to the final trade-in value post assessment of the device, you can request NorthLadder to cancel the order and return your device once you have paid $15 as return shipping fee.

Once your device arrives at NorthLadder’s evaluation facility, a thorough assessment is conducted to determine its condition. The revised price is based on this detailed evaluation, which considers key factors such as screen quality, body condition, battery health and overall functionality. 
After the evaluation is completed, we will email you the evaluation report along with the revised price offer. If you accept the new price, please confirm your acceptance using the link provided in the email. Should you decide not to proceed with the revised offer, you can reject the price quote through the same link, and we will arrange to return your device after the return fee is paid.
